Acupuncture
Traditional Chinese acupuncture is documented to at least 4000BC.
Although on the surface it would seem extremely complicated, in it's diagnostic and treatment systems,
it is really quite simple. We treat on a clinical and constitutionally basis.
When using acupuncture needles or other stimuli on acupuncture points, we are actually affecting the
natural flow of electrical energy from one part of the body to another.
Acupuncture can be used to speed up the healing of a particular area
that has been injured or it can be used to stimulate specific organs or enhance general well being.
In simple terms on a constitutional basis if you look at acupuncture as say a central heating system in your home.
The acupuncturist's job is to find where the fault is, be it the thermostat, pump, air lock, electrical feed, timer,
burner. Once diagnosed, the acupuncturist will place a needle into the appropriate point to reset that system
so that it works as designed.
